Learn to prune things without killing them: roses, climbers, fruit trees, fruit bushes, shrubs and more. Or learn what to plant, where, when and why. We work with you in the way that suits you best.

BORDER DESIGN & PLANTING ADVICE

Before you splurge at the garden centre and wonder why, let us help. We can talk through a border together — yes, with pencils and paper — or advise on plants for the garden you actually want. Full design work quoted separately.

Feeling a bit The Good Life? Grow your own food without needing 14 acres. From window boxes and balconies to courtyards and back gardens, we can help you get started. Satisfaction: an easy 10/10.

Want more wildlife? Rather than recreating the Knepp Estate, we can show you practical ways to welcome birds, insects and mammals into whatever space you have. More plants, more life, less fake grass.

After this summer’s searing heat, it makes sense to plan ahead. We can help with water conservation, healthier soil and plants that can cope — advice you can put into practice straight away.

PLANT SOURCING & PLANT-BUYING TRIPS

This is our forte. Need a steadying — or restraining — hand at the garden centre? We can help you choose the right plants, in the right numbers, and avoid expensive mistakes. Sourcing, delivery and setting out plants can also be arranged.

THE PRACTICAL BITS

Standard sessions last one hour. Extra time is charged pro rata, by agreement.

Travel within 10 miles by road of Stanmer Park is included. Further afield by arrangement, with any additional charge agreed in advance.

Plant sourcing and plant-buying trips are quoted individually. Larger border design projects may require a separate quotation.
